VALVE BODIES FOR C4
Ok, ive seen a few manual , valve bodies for C4'swhich is the company to get, is TCI's pretty good? Would it be worth it to get the transbrake for mostly street? Would it prolly be best to get a new shifter (im thinkin hurst quartershifter). and would i need it cut or anything on a '79 no console?

RE: VALVE BODIES FOR C4
i used a TCI streetfighter on my C4 when i rebuilt it. it retains auto shifts, and is basically a ford valvebody rebuilt with a TCI shift kit installed (so the shop cant screw up the installation of it)
i cant give firsthand experience advice about anything past that, but i will say i am extremely happy with it

I use a PA manual valve body.
No big thing to install.
If you opt for a manual valve body, you get just that, no automatic functions at all.
No more vacunm modulator either so engine vacunm means nothing.
I don't really think you want to use a trans-brake on the street, those brakes really heat the trans fluid in a hurry...
I dunno about the shifter, I use a Turbo-Action, been using them for years, never have had a problem......
