chargin problem

Default chargin problem

ok so the other day a wire came loose and melted the internals on my starter because it wasent getting grounded. now my battery does not seem to be charging because the volts are below 12 instead of 14.
could my alternater have fried too? i did not see any other wires loose.

Pull it off and get it tested at an outo parts store. No cost, except time...
