dont know if this will help but....on my stock computer it adds 26D to the timing at WOT so if your base is 10 then your total timing will be 36d
im not sure how much advance the fox mustangs have but its probably the same so your running 36d at WOT I personally think that is to much for a
supercharged car but then agian Im just an amatuer tuner.Im not sure how much timing to take out for pounds of boost??but you can open your throttle some to help you idle you just have to reset your the senser on the side of the throttle body.Im running my timing at 6d and opened the butterfly up some to help it idle.(4 nitro).also changed my adavce in the cars pc to 21D advance and 10.30 afr.it would help if you had some kind of tuner. I know you wanna hit it with that fat azz supercharger on the motor but if you do your going to kill that motor with out some kind of tune.

he is at a base kit and having these problems? , surging is bad but this issue sounds somewhat familiar to me, the ECM cant compensate for something, id call up a local speed shop and ask them, or contact vortech.

Drive the car? def not, timing, I doubt thats your issue

I sent cassidy a PM , hopefully hell be here shortly.

your stock computer definitly does NOT add 26° at WOT...

These numbers here are based on a 10° BTDC distributor setting. These are TOTAL timing numbers BEFORE modifiers.. such as coolant temp retard, air temp retard.. etc

Do you have an FMU? Ifnot get one with the 30# injector disk, I've even heard of people using them after they've tuned their car just for safety. It really sounds like you're not getting adequate fuel evenatidleand it did this to me before I returned my FPR to 44 psi (vac. disconnected), and got an FMU (I'm untuned at 4 psi, yeah elevation blows! but my set up is still pretty safe), I've also got my timing at 10 degrees with an autolite 24 gapped at .035. Also don't let your gas tank get below a 1/4 tank. Did you plug in your spout connector after setting the timing?

I would defintely lower the gap on your plugs, maybe change your fuel filter. I have heard of them *sometimes* being dirty and not allowing enough fuel

like I said im not "the perfect tuner" I use the epec and on the tables on it WOTis 26D added to whatever else you have at the dizzy
if you notice on your table the .80 load the tps is at WOT at 80% I believe it says 26D on your table not picking a fight I always want to learn more just trying to help the guy out with the lil I know about tuning I just know what works for my application
i ddint even consider the part throttle spark for the supercharger ..I learned somthing new today see adder im glad I voted for you to be able to post agian.......

I'd just leave the timing set at base timing, and keep my foot out of it... If all you need it to do is run, then that would be all i would do with it until it is safe... If not you're looking to see some huge detonation if everything isn't exact, and you'll be pouring chunks out of the short block like i did with cast pistons and no detonation...

Base timing on a supercharged car is 10* leave it there until you get it tuned.
