ORIGINAL: GaryBisiniere

so i changed my start 2 days ago because the 1 before fried because a wire came loose. i fixed that problem and now i went to start my car today and the starter wouldent disengage it kept trying to start the motor so i hit my kill switch. i did not see any wires loose. could it be the solenoid? any suggestions thanks!
If you have the wires from the ignition on the wrong studs on the solenoid it can cause the starter to stay engaged. I had that happen to me with my Bronco when I first got it. Previous owner had that, as well as many other wires, mixed-up. Switched them and problem was solved.

Good luck.
