not really. the engine mods are internal and you'd never know. the tranny can be swapped back for the 4 speed and we wont be getting rid of it - just a matter of dropping one and slapping in the other.

Basically if you cannot contribute constructively to the question that was posted than leave the thread alone, the question was about a tranny, not a poll on the demand or lack thereof of the Mustang II which btw is in fact a Mustang if you like it or not doesn't matter.

try a 92 2.3 t-5 ....I converted my 92 to a 5.0 and I used the 4 cyl tranny for a week or two but the first gear was so dang low I didn't like it and swapped it out for a 5.0 t-5 ....i BELIEVE THE 92 HAD A FIRST GEAR RATIO OF 3.94 WHICH WILL GET THE 4CYLINDER UP OFF THE LINE

I used an 85, but for a 5.0. Best bet would be to ask II specific forum if you haven't already.

FYI the II's are going up in value as they are becoming harder and harder to find. not to mention this car is a Mach1 with the "delete package" which means it only came with the 2.3 - you know how many of those they made? not many. you know how many of those didnt end up with V8 swaps or in the crusher because the junk yards dont put any value on II's? probably less than you can count on one hand.
so yeah, i think it'll be a cool car to keep around
