I may be wrong, but I was 99.9% sure that the stock water pump is aluminum. Like I said though, I may be wrong.

stock water pump is aluminum.
as a matter of fact, out of the... probably 1000 water pumps that i've replaced in my life, every single one that i remember has been aluminum.

the FMS is supposedly built to flow more, but the difference is minimal.
