Default Buying a Fuel Pump

I was trying to decide on a fuel pump to buy...(my pump failed)...My car is stock and I do have future plans of swapping a 351 in, but this is not in the near future. My buddy says to go with a 190 but it seems everyone on here says a 255. Also I am not sure about the brand. Steeda seems to have the best deal on a pump. The fords 190 or 255 is over two hundred dollars while the steeda is around a hundred. Im sure the same company makes the pumps. All the aftermarket pumps seems to require some wire crimping unlike the ford one, this makes me wander how reliable the aftermarket ones are. Will I need a fuel pressure regulator? What pump should I get and what brand?

I have a Holley, they are mostly all made by walboro. Mine was a direct swap, no wiring or modding to fit. It's a 255 and I would def recommend an afpr. I have a Kirban, they're about 80 bucks.

A 255 is overkill for a stock engine
It will actually pump so much fuel that isan't used, it will heat up the gas in the gas tank
(and you really want that stuff cool)

www.jdsperformance.com is the place to buy from They sell Wlabro pumps (that is what you should get) for the best price I found. I run a 255lph with a Kirban afpr also.

jdsperformance is a lot cheaper than summit. My 255 Walbro was just under $100 shipped.

I just don't see that happening.
