Pistons 92 forged vs. 93 hyper.
 

Whats the difference between 92 forged and 93 hyperpeutic pistons ? Does one produce more hp than the other ? Or is one more capable of withstanding more hp than the other ?

Forged are stronger than hypers and can hold up to more power and heat .

forged is stronger, no hp difference. ive heard people make the argument that hypers seal better so they make more hp but thats what piston rings are for

forged are stronger and heavier thats why they put the hyper in they are light weight and fine if you do normal mods but they arent very good friends with boost and spray. hyper's are made from aluminum and sylicon injection actually so they disperse heat a lot better

tuned properly, hyper pistons are just as good as forged... I ran a 100 shot on a stock bottom end for a long time before the 160,000 mile headgasket sprung a leak....

bottom end still looks brand new

yep, I sprayed the 125 shot for 2 years and the 250 shot for a bit with hyperutectic pistons, the shortblock looked new when it got replaced with the 347
