Installed 4cyl t5 yesterday
I installed a t5 from a 83 turbo coupe in my car yesterday since I killed 2nd syncro's and the trans kept getting stuck in gears. All I had to do was get a pilot bearingfor a 83 2.2 diesal ranger, everything else was the same as the 5.0 t5.
Took it to the track today and the 4.00 1st gear had me shifting to second at the 30-40ft area and I was shifting into 4th about 200ft before the 1/8th mile. Overallit really didn't seem to hurt my cars times to bad, I went a 13.04 @ 105 w/ 1.75 60ft. A set of 4.30's should help the 60ft and get me a little more up top, trap rpms were pretty low.

I have 4.10 rear end gears. The 4cyl trans has different gearing then the 5.0 t5. First gear is a 4.03:1 and second is 2.80 I believe. But one I shift into 4th it really drops rpms and I have to get back up in my top end powerband. My power peaks out around 5900rpm and I was going through the traps at only 5300-5400.
