I'm liking the looks and price of it, how much power are these speculated to hold up to?

I dunno about just how much power it will take either but with 4 bolt mains and an improved oil system I'll bet that it takes 600+ ok......

Its supposed to be able to handle 1000hp. It still requires a lot of machining like the dart blocks.

the boss block is rated at 1500hp. the motor in my sig is a boss block. it doesnt require a bunch of machining (depending on your opinion of what a lot is). for mine i just bored and honed it and checked to make sure the decks were good (they were) and that was it. it does require a special cam bearing tho. i bought them from summit (ford racing brand) for $120 and when i got them they looked like a blind man made them and then through them off the roof of a tall building. i showed my machinist and he said he could get the same bearings for $60. f*ck ford racing and there special bearings. the busted bearings went back to summit for a return

I've seen some articles on the Boss 302 block and it looks very nice. Supposedly its as good if not a bit better than both the Sportsman and R302 blocks it replaces. Cheaper than an R302 also.
