RE: HELP!!! throttle sticking!!!
how did you position the cable to it was directly under there??? how can i wrap the spring???
ORIGINAL: silver91gt
i noticed when I had a PP throttle body it has to have the return spring end right above the idle set screw, i also wraped the spring another turn for more tension

RE: HELP!!! throttle sticking!!!
the throttle cable goes in the same place as stock, i was talking about the spring that holds the throttle blade closed.
if the blade closes too far it will bind sometimes, try to raise the idle a little bit

well i'll try that. it just doesn't make sense why it works with the stock, but with the new one it doesn't.
also, its stiff as hell just to push the pedal/throttle. its almost like it sticks both ways. i'm confused.

RE: HELP!!! throttle sticking!!!
i wrapped the return spring one time. still having the same problem. is it possible that the cable could be to long for this or something??? i would figure that everything would stay the same. i'm totally lost on what i can do to fix this problem...

RE: HELP!!! throttle sticking!!!
i fixed it this morning. yes i have the egr spacer on there.
anyway, it seemed that the ball flange where the throttle cable attached to was positioned more towards the right side of the vehicle(away from the intake). so the cable was sort of flex right there in the cruise control part is(that spring area on the cable). so i attached it normally this morning, and it stuck of course, so i pushed back on the throttle, and pushed the cable towards the intake, and it fixed itself or something. whatever it was, its working now.
another question though...i unplugged the air bypass solenoid, and set my idle at around 700. when i reattached the solenoid connection, my idle shot up to around 1200, and then it took it a couple minutes to work its way down. is this normal???
