Sorry, I can' t offer you much assistance here. I do run an external trans cooler only with the stock radiator. This is with an AODE and a shift kit. The engine coolant temp is fine (as measured by my tweecer) but I can't give you exact numbers on the tranny temp. It seems to feel fine though.
I think Im just going to run the Fluidyne rad, taurus e fan and I have a hayden cooler. Im going to use the stock internal cooler in the fluidyne and the hayden on the return. I guess that should be fine.

I'm putting a ****load of stress on my engine and the temp seems to hold up fine. My situation...

I have a stock radiator on a supercharged engine. It gets HOT in there. Yet the temp stay's right where it should be. On top of that, I have an air-to-air intercooler in front of the radiator (24" by 12") so that blocks some of the airflow. I also have the power steering pump cooler and the aftermarket tranny cooler up there.

Even with all of that, the engine stays right where it should and everything else stays cool as well, even on hotter days. Fan rarely has to come on unless I'm in traffic for extended periods of time.

In other words, I think you'll be fine.
