Default Resistor Trick = Horsepower???

Anyone heard of putting a resistor in the IAT to get better performance??? It is all over Ebay. Does it work. Will it hurt the engine?

The expensive resistors on eBay just trick the car into running a richer mixture. More fuel will = more HP. Not something I would even waste my time with though.

i took those from my electrical shop one time and put it in my 97 caddy eldorado and to be honest it flew. it would rip wheels into 2nd. but yea it killed gas and it ran a little rough at idle.
