I don't mean to hack this thread, but I have aquestions about these steeda cams. I know the ford racing cams are a little out dated, but how would the B cam stack up against the steeda #18? The both have the same amount of lift (.480 w/ 1.6 and .510 i believe with 1.7)and lobe seperation (112*), but the B Cam has a duration of 224* 0.050 intake and exhaust in contrast to steeda's 220* on the intake and 226* on the exhaust. I understandwhat this means, but a little unclear on how this will effect the performance or which cam willperform "better."

since both the intake and exhaust durations are the same on the letter cams... you will never get the best efficentcy(sp) from them. your intake valve is larger than your exhaust valve. So leaving the two open for the same amount of time makes no sence.

The steeda on the other hand has a longer exhaust duration, which will clear the cylinder better, causing more of a scavenging effect once the intake side opens up again,

You will probably see better numbers with a steeda cam over a B cam

I didn't know that you were running a 94.... Yeah that cam will be good on a 94 naturally aspirated car... It will help with idle...

Right on, that makes sense. Thanks.

i have the steeda #19 cam. love it! the only thing i think can be better is a custom grind. which you can still get that 114* or 115* lsa to help work with your computer and vaccum. plus get the bigger lift if desired for your application.
