Natrally the stock plastic fan on my stang is cracked in several places. Need to replace before a fin breakes off and goes through my radiator. I am taking a trip to the local junk yard, am I preety much stuck with the stocker or will one off another car work possibly an electric one?This problem just recently came to my attention as I was pulling my engine. a volvo electric radiator fan will work on the 5.0. thats what i and 3 other people on this forum use.

The Volvo fan is out of a 99 and up S80 or 2001 and up S60 or V70.Not sure if you will find one in the junk yard but you can look.

so will a lincoln sc.....hey even the 5.0 will fit in a volvo

It must have been a 960 or an S90.I have never seen one of them with a 5.0.I have seen tons of 240's and 740's with the 5.0.
There is a company in californa that makes kits to install it in a Volvo with a wiring harness and computer.

go electric. i got have the same volvo fan that dbeck has. works great and is a perfect fit for the stock shroud/fan

You will have more luck finding an 3.8L taurus fan. They work great..I have one and it cools my worked 351w.

I also have a metal and flex fan I'll sell you too but since you need a new fan, I would go electric and gain a few extra HP at the same time.
