blend door and/or heater control is probably stuck/bad
or the vacuum source is pinched/off

Do you have longtube headers? Some one might have taken your firewall insulation out before you bought the car and now heat is coming through.

open your windows. jk

No really what temp does your motor run at, your motor may just be running hot, does it have the stock t-stat and have you ever flushed the coolant system.

If your heater core has a small pin hole in it, it can release
steam into heating system even with heat turned off.

Are you getting water out of the heater core drain hole on the firewall?
or loosing coolant very slowly?
or leaking out of vents under glove box on to pasngr carpet?

all signs of bad heater core, including inside of car getting hot.

do you have a stock or catted H pipe? It could be from the cats. If your car is running rich they may be getting too hot.
