Default transmission question

How many of you run a 2.3L transmission behind your 5.0? The reason I ask is cause I found a fresh rebuilt transmission with bellhousing and clutch...ect for 500 bucks. I need a new transmission mine is completly shot and I thought this was a good price could I get some opinions on it? I know some people say don't do it but others say you can. It will be matted up to a 302 HO thats stock for now. Future upgrades might be a stroker kit and mild cam (long ways off could easily replace trans with a tremec at that point) Car would be a daily driver with maybe the occassional auto cross. Thank you in advance

you can get your V-8 T-5 rebuilt for cash that price if you do the removal of the tranny yourself.

read the description real slow,
Duh...... thats what happens after 12 hours of work and like 3 hours of sleep.

So basically your saying to just buy one specifically for a 5.0 motor like the new one and if need bed swap the clutch and stuff? am I catching your drift? that last one doesn't say it's rebuilt just says cleaned but it seems like a good price no?
