buying an 87" 5.0, what to look out for
Hi all, im obviously a newb here, but not a total newb to forums. my question is for a friend who is purchasing a 1987 LX this evening. he was wondering what are the best and most important things to look at first to get a good idea if the car is a piece of crap or not. you know just some basic things to look out for. any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

look for rust/rot. Floor pans, subframe, rear quarters, tourqe boxes, the space between the windshield and doors ect. I would make sure the body is in good shape. A stock good running clean fox should run you about 2100-3000. Check the oil pan for rust too, if it has new paint look for any signs of orange peeling, if you see some that might tell you that he slapped a real quick paint jobbie on it and there might be dough under.
