you will need:
15-20k on engine.
2-3k for suspension
2-3k for tranny
2k for built rear end
2k for chassis stiffening and roll cage (for the strip, and safety)
10k+ for RACE GAS a year

so as you can see its not cheap at all.
$8,000 on the motor with my guys building it while im away at work
ive got $1500 in my suspension, ready for whatever.
$2600 for my tci all out race c-4 manual shift body, outlaw pro shifter, transbrake, blow proof bell housing, 3400 stall conv.
$1200 in 9 inch moser nodular cased rearend with 430 gears
$ 600 for 10 point cage, subframes, solid welded joined to the frame upper tourque pan.
$ 40 a day for 4 gallons of 112 octane and just say you raced a 3 day event every weekend thats $120 a weekend which is an over shot. thats $6000 a year for race fuel racing 50 weekends a year which pros dont even race that much.

not as expensive as you think.

its physically impossible for an engine to do 9 seconds

however, if you are inquiring on a CAR with an ENGINE that can do 9 secs, id say a built stroker with a S/Cer, or a turbo setup (single or twin)

P.S. Motors=electric, Engines= gasoline
