smoke on startup

I built the gt40x racing motor all ford parts. Got the engine dyno tuned new computer burned. The car runs great but on startup has some bluish smoke for 2 seconds. Does anyone know if this will subside when motor breaks in. The tuner said engine runsgreat and did not smoke during his time with it. Does it indicate the valve seats are not good even though they arenew heads?

Id wait and see if it still does it the same or more after it breaks in some, Other then that only thing you can really do is a compression and then a leakdown test if you find a bad cylinder. Then you can find out if its the headgasket/ valve seal or the rings. My friend just ran the hell out his car tryin to race me with it running 285 and blowin out smoke all over the crivers side of the engine, so you dont have that big of a problem.

Could also be oil leaking down the valve stems from bad or defective seals. Wait for the motor to finish breaking in and keep an eye on your oil use before you do anything.

my thoughts exactly...

A seal could have gotten damaged during assembly of the heads
