Default turning radius

I've got a turning radius of 40.8 in my 92 LX as far as I know. I'd like that to be lower. First, I'm not sure what exactly needs to be replaced. Do I have to get a whole new rack and pinion? Also, I've seen rack and pinion sets available but they're measued in ratios (15:1, 20:1). How do these translate into a 40.8 turning radius? What turning ratio would make the 40.8 that I already have?

Thanks

ive heard the limiting factor in the fox is the front control arms, they are too wide close to the wheel. some drifter/powerslide guys are trying to develop bolt on replacements that have more clearance for that same reason

For sure! That will cut your turning radius in half if you do it right.

Could you help a dumb brother out and explain "ackerman" and how it affects the ride. Thanks.

get some aftermarket tubular a-arms and take out one of the steering limiters. its a little plastic spacer in the rack. ofcourse you'll have to go with coil overs too.
