8.8 parking brake

can anyone tell me how to remove the parking brake cable from the drum on a ford 8.8? thanks in advance

There are little metal finger that have to be pressed. You have to press them in and push the cable out. Using vise grips help. You can also use VG to remove the cable from the shoe piece.
