Default Explorer intake

off a 97 mountaineer i think it is... good modification? will it be a direct replacement for my stock intake? or do i have to change some things...

what about tuning? i am still speed density.

i put that same intake on my 94....i painted it flat black with high temp paint ...but other than that it was a simple unbolt the old...bolt on the new....only thing was there was a little bit of a difference in the vacuum hoses....nothin a couple caps and some simple engineering lol couldnt help....i think it took two days....only cuz i started at like 5p.m. and it didnt help that i didnt have all the gaskets there when i started....so that was a trip to autozone...but ya saturday project if ya got the stuff or a store close....not hard at all and it wasnt a great increase but i could feel it....so good luck with yours
