word of mouth commitment means nothing in court .....unless it was a signed document breach of contrat your lawyer will laugh at you for even asking that question......if he refuses to give the deposit back then you have a valid argument = theft......but if he gives back the deposit then move on with your life...there are plenty of mustangs out there!!

I agree with get your money back and move on. This kind of thing as happened to a lot of us in one form or another. It sucks.

A guy in Hilton Head S.C. advertised heads,cam,intake,TB,full length headers,24# injectors,MA. We agreed on a price for all on a thursday. I said i would drive up sat. ( i live in south ga), he had not taken the parts off yet but said they would be ready sat. evening. I get there and call him sat. afternoon and he says he is not through yet but would be finished sun. He recommened a hotel in hilton head, and me,my wife and daughter stayed overnite. I call him sun and he says that his daughter was sick and his wife was working. I have 2 daughters and i have been in his shoe's before so i thought ok. He said on tuesday he would drive the 4.5 hours to deliver them to me. Never seen the guy. I had not given him any money so i said **** it after he would not respond to e-mails or phone. Some people just have not integrity.
