what year did the stangs came with the 5 speed...my car has a 5 speed but the title says its a 84..did the switch in mid year or ???

i dont think they switched i think they always came w/ a 5-speed at least in 84 and up

Yep, they switched mid year in 1983.. Also the same time they changed the block a little, put different main seals in it.. Read a little about it at http://www.mustanggt.org

83 was first year of the t-5 cause i got one ,,,,the 82 had the SROD trans 4 speed junk!

85 best year of the carbureted late model stangs I had 2 of them and still miss them till this day.........:(
