[>:] Ok here it goes.. Seems my car will only run correct if i unplug my mass air meter!! I have been getting some wierd problems and i finally tracked it down to the MM. I swaped it out for a stock one that i know is good and same problem.. the car starts and idels fine but doesnt have a exceleration at all just coughs a little. But if i un plug the Mass air meter the car runs fine. So any suggestions would be great and thanks in advanced.

you should be careful unplugging the MAF sensor, its the only way the engine knows how much air is entering the engine and how much fuel to mix, take that away and its adding fuel blindly. it may not even be the MAF for all you know but when you unplugged it you ran in safe mode (really rich) which is why it seemed to be running fine.

tell me exactly what happens when your driving at 1500 RPM and then give it throttle.

Car runs fine all the way up to 6500 rpm..someone was telling its the plug or the whole wire setup to the computer.

if your car runs fine with the MAF till 6500 then whats the problem?


if you unplug the maf its gonna seem to run fine but its running in rich mode. you need to get a properly working MAF IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM. it might not even be your problem, could be injectors going bad and tricking you into thinking your maf is crapped out. you need to pinpoint the problem.

LOL No dude.. it is not running good with the mass air meter hooked up. I have tried my stock unit also. Same problem when hooked up. Actually runs really strong with out the mass air meter. Im figuring its the wires or the plug at this point.
