Default car slugish

Hey guys if I am on the highway doing like 80-90 Km/h and I need to pick up speed if I just start pressing the gas pedal it starts to jerk the car almost. I know there won't be a lot of pick up in 5th but its not like i was pushing the pedal to the floor...just trying to accelerate a little you know. Anyone know what my problem could be?

I also have a problem with oil being "lost"....It is not dripping in my driveway or anything and pulled out every spark plug in the car and they all look normal. So its not burning oil...any ideas?

Its a 88 GT 5 speed.

Thanks

just down shift an you will be ok and the oil burning might be rings ,valve guides ect its defanatly burning it if its not leaking out some where on start up you would see it out of your exaust as a blueish smoke

well I don't see anything that comes out on start up. You would think that my spark plugs would be black though from oil getting in. They are the nice brown color though....WTF is wrong GRRR

you another canadian boy? , whatsup, for the oil issue Id check the pcv valve and screen and use thicker oil 10w40 or 20w-50.

For the jerking issue, and loss of power, check the tps for dead spots( .99 volts key on , engine off, then slowly move the throttle up to wot any dead spots will not change voltage , or the voltage may drop instead of getting higher, you should max out, no more than 4.5 volts.

Id also check timing , fuel pressure and compression.

Do you have stock gears? If so that sounds pretty normal. 5th gear is more of an over drive and 80-90 km/s is not very fast for 5th gear. Down shift to 4th if you wanna give 'er.

What makes oyu think the clutch is wearing out? I just redid mine because it was going. Does it slip at all? I noticed mine was the worst if i revved it high in first then shifted to second and hammered it. The rpms would jump up then drop down and catch.

Its a light brown..like when you just toast a piece of bread nicely lol....as for my clutch...I don't think I can adjust it anymore by pushing the clutch to the floor and then lifting the pedal up and also whenever I shift into 2nd or 3rd it almost like clunks into gear
