where can i get a thread cleaner at, i tried using a battery terminal brush but its not working and its pretty tight to get anything in there period, anyone in maryland done this?

you can use a 5/8-11 bolt and cut a few grooves into the threads, it will act as a thread chaser and clean the carbon out, the only trick is that you have to only screw it in a little, then back it out, then put it in further.....

I just had to get a bolt for the back of my head last week.
I had to get a longer bolt than 3/4" because nobody sells a 5/8 diameter bolt that short around here.
Its got a 1" head.
For some reason I only had to plug the passenger side head. It was causing a major exhaust leak.

pjb, I hope you ddint put that bolt in until it stopped... if you did, you will want to remove it anc cut it down a bit.
screwing the bolt in too far will cause it to bottom out against the last exhaust port, putting pressure on the runner... which can cause it to crack under stress and heat..
