Ok, Today me & a friend was on the freeway going ---mph when some idiot tried to cut between us, and i had to downshift (1 time) in order not to run his A$# over. Now my car won't go into that last gear. Right before it tries to change from 3rd to 4th gear it just revs up high but don't catch.(slips). It still leaves the line great & shifts really hard except 3rd to 4th. What Happened? Trans Bad, Need a Flush, or Valve body.

you have a burned out OD band. very common problem with AODs. a rebuild is the only fix.

hey im in the exact situation as u...on my 94 ..only difference is mines aode..and plus ...im worse off lol...my first and second slip too....and same thing..it acts like it is goin to shift to od and just revs up....so dont feel alone lol....

Ok thanx Fellas, well i guest out with this Trans & bring on the C4 since a friend has 1 4 me. But i was wondering ifI could still get on the freeway with it.

had that prob when i bought the car, just did a beefed up rebuild with a shiftkit and a new stall converter. works great now haha
