Im in the middle of swaping an 88 5.0 block into my 95gt. The timing cover off the 95 doesn't fit onto the 88 block, the water pump is different and because of the coolant passages in the timing cover, it seems to be hitting the timing chain/gears. I was wondering if the timing set on the 88 is different than the 95, and if just changing the timing gears/chain ment for the 95 would solve this problem.
