I want to buy the BBK full length hi flo X-pipe but on a number of sites the description says that it fits 1986-1993 GT mustangs. I'm wondering if this x-pipe will fit my 89 5.0 LX Auto?

If not could you tell me the difference between the GT and LX's exhaust set ups.

most listings for exhaust say Exc. Cobra.... but guess what... they all fit on my car

Just make sure its for an automatic though.

when buying long tubes they have to be for automatics
when buying shorties and standard h-pipe it doesnt matter

so if i am running shorty headers and need a x or h pipe with cats it doesnt matter if it says for auto or manuel or it doesnt matter for lx and gt

But X-pipes can be a different story depending on the brand. I had to have some slight modifications done to get my X-pipe on with my AODE because of clearance issues. But then again, it's catted too so that has a little to do with it.
