2k RPM at 60, gears?
Hey guys, It's been a while. Im back in college, working two jobs, and my gf just moved 3 hours away for her college lol. But, I finally got the fox on the road, and I'm thinking, why in the hell am I turning 2k RPM at 60, I'm guessing i have some pretty low gear in the rear. It's a 92 hatch, t5, 265/50/15 tires, but I checked the speedo readiong against my dad's 03 pickup truck, and it was like, half a mph off at 60. So, if I do have gears, someone changed the speedo gear at least, anyways, do I have 3.73's? maybe even 4.10's? I know this is just an approximation, but I'm gonna have it up on a lift in two weeks to put subframe connectors on it, so I can check for sure then, just any ideas would be great, later

I'll throw a guess and say3.55's. I have 3.73's in mine and it runs 2000rpm at 55mph.

My 3.55's turn about 1900 RPMs at 60,and the speedo is accuret. Thats with 245/45/17, so about 25.7 inch tires. The link for the gear calculator said I had 3.63's and for the OP's setup it calucated 3.78 or something like that. It looks likethe OP has 3.73's.
