theres no such thing as an 89 cobra
theres no such thing as an 89 cobra
as for your spark being had then lost, Check your Ignition box on your fender, that might be giving you the problems. My bronco had similar problems and I changed that and fixed it

RE: 89gt cobra no spark
no. an 89 cobra didn't exist. not in canadian land, not in mexican land not anywhere they were never made.
where is your timing set??
also did you recently buy this car??
if so the guy could of know about the ingntion problem and just didn't tell you this.
also i hope you didn't pay too much because you thought it was a cobra.

RE: 89gt cobra no spark
I guarentee that they did. Ford branded the Cobra name on to the fox Body GT in Canada since they could not in America since Caroll Shelby was arguing that he owned the name cobra and was a big mess. Granted it wasnt anything different then a regular GT but it had Cobra stickers on it.

RE: 89gt cobra no spark
I knew this would turn into a thread about the GT-Cobra thing..
Anyway, it could be a bad coil, or most likely a TFI module took a dump on you (the little box on the dizzy).
Could you try to re-type that paragraph so we can decifer it a little better. Some punctuation marks would help greatly.[:@]
