random peice of metal fell off my car today
 

k i went to wendys with a friend today, go inside eat, we come back out my friend opens the passenger door and we hear what sounded like a peice of metal drop, i run over look and i cant see anything, my riend looks down and sees this metal shape sticking out and he pulls it out. i have no idea where this goes but it came from behind the fender i guess on the passenger side. heres some pics.

umm I see a 360 remote and controller, and some batteries.

k its in the bottom right hnd corner, its in white with random browness.

it came from the passenger fendor area. its a 2 layer peice of metal, one peice is long then the other, with a bend in the metal.

Nothing loose, rattling, falling off the car? If not I'd look at it as a little weight reduction. :D

with that much rust i assume u have an old fox? try taking off your splash guard and looking up thought the wheel well and comparing the driver side to the passenger side

That is the spring on the lower door hinge. Mine broke off the driver's side. Only thing it hurts is that is will not hold the door open. Doesnt affect anything mechanical or cosmetically. Nothing really to worry about.

This is for a SN95 but the black peice is what fell off.

That sucks..... that happened to me too but it was my heat shield on my cat.

The damn thing was rattling like a maniac anyway so I was happy as hell it just fell off and didnt even require me to jack up the car lol

actually that sounds about right. i was looking at the peice before the post was made and i noticed that with all the paint and browness on it there was a peice by the lip that is very smooth, you can tell something has been rolling on it. thanks for the answer now i have to figure out how to get it back on.

about the rust, my stang is an 88 with 206 000 km on it, and it has been winter drivin for like the first 4-5 years of its live so thats why its brown. thing is my car was painted pearl white, very nice with my hood, and some of the paint here and there is peeling off the metal and makes certain areas look gay. but other than that everything runs strong so i dont care.
