engine shaking..but why??

hey all,
I have a 90 stang and my engine is shaking a lot. it runs and everything but I can feel the whole car shake..especially the steering and my shifter.
I did replacethe motor mounts. I thought that was the issue but I guess its not..I don't have many mods except bbk shorty headers bbk h pipe and 3.73s..I don't think those mods would have an effect on this problem..

also what I have found is when I am in low rpm's (1000-2000) in all gears, and I push on the gas it doesn't go very smoothe..kind of bumpy ..its kind of hard to explain..but maybe it has happened to you

any help is very much appreciated..thanks in advance guys!!

Start your motor, put it in neutral and set the e-brake, pop the hood and take a look at your balancer and see if it's wobbling or if any of the rubber is starting to get pushed out.

RE: engine shaking..but why??

my first thought was a balancer as well, i had one where the keyway snapped and it spun and basically threw it as far outta balance as could be and that thing shook like nobodys business

Spray some starting fluid, carb cleaner, etc. around your intake gaskets while it idles. Listen for the motor to rev., and if it does, then you have a bad seal. If it's not your intake gaskets, motor mounts, or balancer then I would suggest compression tests on each cylinder.
