what are the rules with taking a vert to the track? do you need a helmet regardless of E/T?

Depends on your track, if they are IHRA or NHRA, any independent rules they have, etc.
The track I go to requires a helmet for 13.99 or better regardless of car. They also require a roll bar on verts for 13.5 or better and a full cage on anything at 11.99. Had to stick a roll bar in my old vert.

Verts always need a helmet.

The tracks around here don't, but I guess some do. You'd have to check the tracks by you.I got my helmet at an ATV shop. If you buy one, make sure it says Snell 2000 INSIDE. A decal on the outside wont work.

you need to call your track cuz nhra rules don't matter

nhra rules are faster than 13.49 for a helmet
faster than 11.49 for a cage

many are different
