I am installing c-clip eliminators next weekend and i was wondering if the cutting of the axel tubes off at the end is a problem for most. I am planning on using a saw-all and grinding the plate smooth. Is this the best way?
I am going with 31 spline 5 lug axels, I have already welded the tubes to the pumkin and have a lp racing cover brace kit going in, My 8.8 should be bullit proof when i am finished.

My buddy had togrind the tube flush with the backing plate.

its not hard to do, if you know what your doing

just make sure u grind it completly flush, i didn't the first time round and it leaked gear lube so i took it apart, re did it and it sealed fine then.
