How difficult is it to replace the alternator in a V8, 5spd, 1991 Fox? Does anyone have any step by step instructions? I'm also changing the belt as well.

remove the belt by releasing the pressure on the tensioner, pull the electrical plug on the alt, remove the 2 bolts securing it to the bracket, pull out of place bolt down the new alt, follow the correct routing of the belt pull the tensioner back up and slip the belt on

also nows a great time to change the belt to a smaller size to bypass the smog pump if its not already and you were wanting to i use a 770k6 belt size it keep the stock routing and keeps you from buying a non necessary delete bracket http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2...ps/index.shtml
