The main difference is the firing order as earlier stated. The thing that gives the different firing order is the cam. All the other things such as pistons and stuff are just extras.. It is the cam that makes the difference.

the main differences are that it is a roller motor, and the standard one is not... AND fireing order as well, other then that the cam is no difference as they are interchangable.... but its pretty much been coverd...

Wow I new it would really be interesting to see what ppl had to write about HO and non ho... Well from what I learned from owning a car that had a HO motor in it was that the cam had a higher lift to it and that the head was milled slighty more and that gave it more compression earning the HO Stamp
