Can't we all just get along?

NooB's will be NooB's.... hey I'm a NooB 2.

Its a shame you're building such a wonderfull motor and putting a centrifugal blower on it

Regardless, while your block is being built, you need to decide how much boost you plan to run. It's CRITICAL for selecting pistons with the proper compression ratio! Lower compression will let you run higher boost for greater total power. To run 14psi on 91 octane, I lowered my compression from 9.4 down to 8.8... I would have had to go even lower, but the overlap on stage III cams effectively lowers compression too.

So that reminds me, you need to know what cams you're going to run too... for the reason I just mentioned.

Good luck.

wow guys thanks a lot for all the responses.

V FAST ,u do know right iam talking about 1900$ canadian NOT AMERICAN for a blower that was just used for 2 months and that includes everything that i would need to install my blower(fuel pump, injectors and iam sure iam gonna talk to him to include ecu as it got programmable chip).anyways around here in vancouver we dont see that many blown stangs so its pretty hard to find used blowers.

JACROCKET--yeah i get ur point about the whole compression ratio and all that stuff.....to be honest with u i wasnt even gonna think about putting more then 8psi boost to begin with.with 61cc afr 185's heads and dished pistons iam loking about 9.2:1 ratio.i only asked about 14 psi cuz who knows what i might do to the engine in future so i need to keep my options open.for now iam just gonna go with non blower crane cams.when i do decide to put blower on (if i get this one that is) i would look for diffrent cam.dont worry summers r very short here in vancouver so i have enuff time to do engine swaps and cam swaps.

ORIGINAL: bc_stang

ok stang tang iam so lost..who should chill the fk out? anyways my buddy had it on his 89 coupe. yeah i would do that , i dont think it would be smart to run 8psi unit to make 14 psi and expect it to survive long time.iam gonna see if i can get everything else except the head unit.
i wasnt referring to you, but yea see if you can get the setup and buy the head unit seperately, so you can save money, and do it right.

just making a point
