Default question?
i have an 88 5.0 ,but every website i look at for specs says its a 4.9l 225hp and 300lb-ft why is it like that and does anyone know the real specs?

thats the specs except for the displacement is like 4.988 or something, they are really not 5.0, but five-o sound cooler than four.nine YEA....or something

yep its true. 4.9's kick ***!.lol. 5.0 just sounds better and besides, its almost a 5.0 liter anyway being 4.988.....but dont tell anyone. Its a big secret!.lol

If it was a 4.988 they would have rounded it to a 5.0L, but it is a 4.948, so rounded it would go to 4.9L

were any of the first 5.0 highway patrol cars released when the 5.0 engine was introduced so then they could say hur come the fiveo. har har[8D]
