B&M shift improver kit junk?

bought that, and now my mechanic whose doing my autobody and interior/floor work is saying its a waste of money and time. im doubting it but i just thought id ask before i pay him $100 to install...

It is worth the money and it will work better then stock so go for it! It's only 40 dollars so it is not like you are breaking the bank or anything over it.

Holy crap thats expensive to get installed! It really is not that hard to install yourself you know that right? You wont exactly chirp the tires if you have stock gears, but it will feel a little kick when it shifts

if you spin in any gear will will have a slower ET.
the trick is to get it to shift as fast & as firm as possible w/ out spinning.
getting someone to change valvebody pressures would be just as good, maby better. the tranny guy that did mine said he doesnt mess w/ shift kits. people have them, they work, see how much it would cost you for s tranny shop to change your vb pressures. if you get a tweecer, you can set the pressures eletronically. to what extent it works, i do not know yet, it is still under experiment.
