what cam for my clevor swap?
hey guys what would you guys recommend for a cam. I will have a 351w .030" over, 351c 2v heads. 76cc heads milled to 68-70 cc. I will be running about a 11-11.5:1 C/R. I will be runninga boss track intake, or just an edlebrock intake with adapters (carb).I will will have KB 117 pstons (dome, and made for the clevor swap). It will be a street car (well street/strip). But i do want to have enough vac. to run my brakes. It will have noPS, no A/C, no anything. i want it to be a aggresive cam but nothing that cant support my vac assisted brakes.
Thanks, Nik

.....[sm=trust_me.gif]....you don't want to go through the same frustrations I went through years ago......long story short....
Clevor setup, "big heads require a big cam" rationale followed, installed a "big" cam and performance was worse than a modified regular Windsor's (= 289 overbored)........ owner gets pissed, make us remove camshaft and install the stock FT cam so he could sell both separate.......that clevor with a stock cam gave a few surprises to a lot chevy guys......why?...I didn't know then.....but found out why a couple of months ago.....at the same place you're going to look for your cam now.....LUK how it does.

LMAO, i dont know WTF i am doing. i did some reading and the 4v heads would be to big for me. they would be a dog in the lower rpms. so i dont want that. so i am going 2v heads. i am still going with the clevor swap, as i have been for the last little while. I got screwed on that other engine. so i have one i am going to look at today. i will just need to buy a swap oil pan, and the intake and heads, oh and pistons also. But this one is a lot cheaper than the other one i had.

i have yet to check the engine out. But i have an intake i have to get (boss track intake). the enigne is probably a late 70- eraly 80 block. it has been bored .030" over. i didnt buy anyhting yet but today i will be buying the engine is worth the money, lol. 351w, bored 30 over, 351w heads, crank, rods, pistons, cam timing chain, timing chain cover, maybe intake, engine stand, block painted blue all for 400-500 bones CAD. I will be selling the 351w heads for 351c2v heads soon. and same for the pistons, they are gone and i need KB 117 pistons.
