okay so i need to get a roll cage for my 92 lx vert, and I want to go with a 4 point weld in unit, with a removable horizontal cross bar for racing harnessess, I see that maximum motorsports has one, but its a little high price wise for me, any one know of any other places, that would be on the cheaper side, also do you agree with my choice of a 4 point with the removable harness bar?

okay yea, its not terribly expensive,...well its 329.00 not including shipping...so it is all assembled so all I would have to do is weld it in? and do you like my choice of the bar? if you check their site its part # mmrb-10.3

4point bar isnt NHRA legal either, you need at least 5.

okay well i dont have too many mods to my car, but im starting to do h/c/i now, and then i want to go with a kenne bell when im done with that, so i have no clue what i will be running, so then what cage or bar should i go with? this is going to be my most driven vehicle, so i cant go nuts

If the roll-bar is mild steel, figure $100 a point (mininum) for istallation by anybody who WHF they are doing.
I would get a 6 point and be done with it.

MM sells a 8 point cage for pretty cheap.. and you can even get removeable door bars... to make DD driving.. comfy

see i didnt really want to go all out, i just wanted a little protection that looked good..also i dont see a 8 point bar for the verts

has anyone ever hiden a rollbar? like under the plastic interior moldings. Here where i am from the insurance companies won't cover a rollcaged car. Due to it being faster than 11.49 (even if its not fast at all they just assume it is, and thats why you have the roll cage). so i was thinking of putting it under the plastic interior molding and have the cross bar (A in the diagram above) removable and making two little holes for it to slide into the plastic molding and hook with pins of some sort. I think not a bad idea at all. I want to run 11.60-11.80 with my clevor so i dont need anything more than a 4-6 point. Maybe even a 6 point with the removable side bars (door areas). i will most likely have to have it custom made to fit under it all, but just a thought (i will be doing it later donw the road)
