Replaceing Ball joints

RE: Replaceing Ball joints
I'm not too sure as I haven't done it myself (plus I'm not sure if you are talking a Fox or SN-95, if that even matters). I looked in my haynes manual for my '94 and the steps listed basically say to remove the lower control arm and have a machine shop press in new balljoints [&:]. Mine have been squeaking like crazy and I haven't done anything about it yet because I don't know if it's something I can do myself or not (and lack of money).

RE: Replaceing Ball joints
ball joint press works great harbor friegt sells them for 39.99 cheap and it'll work that's what I used to do mine in my 92....the biggest pain in the ace is the spring......I chained my car to the lift and used a floor jack to push the lower control arm back into place so the spindle could be attached to the ball joint.......if you plan to do it on jack stands then you may need spring compressors but they don't tend to work well in this instance as it's a tight fit so get a 3 ft prybar and find your fattest friend or look for BIRTHA to sit on your fender so you can compress the spring enough to attach the joint!!!
