Default Warped Flywheel??

Anyone here ever experienced a warped flywheel? Thought I had bad motor and or trans mounts...replaced them w/poly mounts and the vibration is still horrible. Pretty sure it's something else in the trans. Car seems fine other than the incredibly violent shaking. Any feedback is much appreciated.

How would I know if it is the culprit? The car shakes horribly. It seems as though the door panals are going to pop off and the shifter makes a rattle. Would a bad harmonic balacer cause this? Thanks again.

Have a brand new FRPP aluminum DS thats only been on for less than 500 miles. The problem began when I started my car up one day and forgot it was in 2nd...let the clutch out so the car could warm up in neutral and bam...stalled it with the parking brake on. When I started the car back up it was shaking like it was going to come apart. Thought it could be the mounts and since I had a set of poly trans and motor mounts figured I would start there. Well they are now on and the car is no better. Shakes just as bad. Any thoughts?

Does it shake just sitting in nuetral? clutch out? out of gear?

If so, then my bet is on harmonic balancer

weird if that happend just cuz the car jumped forward in 2nd when he let of the clutch with E brake on.. But i guess anything can happend, but ya it dose sound like the hermonic balancer...also the weights may have fell off the flywheel or hermonic balancer if there external balanced, just a idea...

Yes, it does. It's especially bad from 1100K-1500K rpms. How do I check the HB? Can it be done by looking at it?..or do I need to pull it off?

you can tell just by looking at it.. but if you have a timing light handy it will make diagnosing the issue almost instant

and also.. dont drive the car.... your are just causing extra stress on your bottom end.

if you are not careful, you WILL blow your engine

What am I looking for? What are the signs of a bad HB? I do have a timing light (keep it in the car).
