So say if I build a 347 with AFR 205's, RPM II intake, 75 mm TB, Comp 282 cam .565/.204, 36 lbs injectors, and some shorty bbk headers. (which should be about 440-450 HP)
What would be the aproximate HP difference from a 408 if were bulit with the exact same components?

about an 80 HP difference. but then again the 408 weighs a lot more than the 347. IMO dont even go with the 408 unless you want it to be a strip only car. you wouldnt even need a 347 IMO, i plan on keeping the 302 destroked and just boring the **** outta it to 308 or 310 on a new block. thats my plan for boost but if you really want all motor power, then stick to a 347.

with that combo i would do long tube headers and a shorty x pipe that will get you better performance
