adder, I need to know the thread pitch for the stock radiator tranmission line adapters/reducers.
You forgot to check when you were at work

It's an 89 mustang with 30lb injectors and the mass air meter is calibrated for it. Im not stomping on it, i mean just giving it a little gas and there is a serious lack of powers with a lot of backfiring. It should not be backfiring through the exhaust and throttle body when it starts up and shouldnt barely run. The timing is at 15 degrees. The guy that set it repositioned the distributor because i had it one tooth off and then set the timing with the chip out. he said the stage 1 according to trickflow should be ran around 16 degrees.

ahhh i thought you might have bigger injectors thats probably why its cold natured like that
the a c t probe and the maf sensor have fuel multiplyers on them so when its cold its telling the pc to dump more fuel in there wich was fine for those 19# injectors but now you have the 30 pounders and its getting alot more fuel in there when the car heats up the multiplyers stop adding more fuel car runs fine im thinking the temp sending unit has one on there as well if you had a tune or a tuner you could adjust this.
I would put the 19#'s back in it or get it tuned or buy a tuner or just leave it alone and wait for it to warm up before you drive it.
Like I said I have the almost exact same setup as you mine runs fine on the 19#'s
As far as the timing is concerned I cant go over 12* in mine or it pings badly @WOT
but those fox bodys can take more timing from what I hear.
I would set it back to 10* thats stock and work out the bugs then bump it up
but then again what the heck do I know
If you do get it to the track send me a message on what it runs I would like to know considering we have almost identical setups

I'm not sure its the injectors though, it might be but a friend of mine has at 30lb injectors, trickflow r series intake, afr 185's and a custom cam and his runs just fine. Maybe it just depends on the rest of the setup and it just doesnt like mine injectors with my hci. im not really sure. i try to let it warm up but it wants to die so i have to give it gas and then it will backfire. sometimes it will drop to like 200rpm and then bring itself back up to 1000 and stay there better. if i rev it though it will hang at 1500 and then want to die afterwards.

I'm not exactly sure what your problem is at this point, but what and where did that chunk of metal come from that caused you to tear ir back down? Did it do any damage to the cylinder wall or piston or head? Also for your set-up 30# injectors are a little fat. If you have access to a ford racing catalog 2007 edition, on page 115 it shows an example of the BSFC formula which is brake specific fuel consumption. It tells you how to size your injectors for the amount of power your planning on making. Unless your planning on making way more than 400 hp at the crankshaft, then 24# injectors will be plenty. Too much fuel at any time and your car will run like crap period. If you keep the 30#s then you need to tune around them.

Yea, i realize the injectors are too big for the setup now, but i am planning on putting afr 185's on over winter. i have 24lb injectors and mass air laying around that i'm trying to sell. I would like to put them back on for now but I don't believe I can do so with the intake on. It has a 1" spacer so i can change the jets for the nitrous plate, so I might be able to. i will have to check again.
