Idle dropping very slow

Idle dropping very slow
When i start my car it'll jump up to about 2000rpm and come down very very slowly, and stit at around 1200 rpm when it is usually around 900-1000. Also when i shift it jump up alot more than it used to.
I can be driving in 2nd and let of the gas completely and it'll keep going w/ no slowing down....
Could my IAC be to blame for this ?
Also, sometimes when i come to stop my idle will drop to around 500 and barely run, then jump back up....
I already have idle issues sometimes because the cam, but not this strange.

RE: Idle dropping very slow
you can try performing an idle relearn after cleaning the IAC....the problem you described sounds very farmiliar to a 94 I installed a tfs kit on and the only real way I know how to solve the idle issues that come and go after installing a stage 1 cam is to have it tuned out via a chip...they have chips like from SCT that'll address most of the idle issues you have

RE: Idle dropping very slow
trying cleaning your iac or just go buy a new one. i had the same problem not long ago. i bought a motorsport iac for $85.00 at autopartsgiant.com. this is a very common problem on the 94/95gt with iac.

RE: Idle dropping very slow
I dont think its a vacuum leak because my idle drops very low sometimes
I just cleaned my IAC about a month or so ago, i got it spotless.... I'll try cleaning it again and see if that helps out. If anyone has a link to a site with the procedure on how to "relearn" my idle, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

RE: Idle dropping very slow
Well i just got a lil curious and decided to go out and look. I have 3 connections on the upper intake, one large one, and 2 small ones. The large one and 1 of the small ones had vac lines, but the other had nothing, i couldnt find any vac lines that were disconnected. I'm almost positive i put it on and just put a vac cap over it because there wasnt a plug supplied....So i'm guessing somewhere online the 700 mile drive it fell off somehow....I put another vac cap on and its back to normal.
Now i just gotta relearn my idle....
