Try and clean your ACT, maybe that will help. What is your fuel pressure at? Can you smell gas in your regulator vacuum line?

Well if you've got a gas smell in the vauum side of the regulator, you could have a faulty FPR (hole in the diaphram)

the hose was clamped[&:]??? I think what he means is if you smelled gas in the vaccum line to the regulator he was hinting at the diaphram may be ruptured allowing the vaccum line to draw gas into the intake when it should not be doing that...the regulator is controlled by vaccum so when you romp on it the vaccum signal is lost and up goes the fuel pressure to supply the necessary amount for WOT.

It sounds like a bad regulator....I think it may be time for a Kirban Ajustable regulator and a guage. I think I would do the regulator then go on from there.
